I take Zoloft...should I have a medical bracelet/necklace? Someone I know says I should but I'm not sure it's a good idea or just plain silly.
Any thoughts?
Thanks much.

I don't think it's really neccessary, Zoloft isn't likely to cause anything particularly nasty to happen to you.
If you were taking a MAOI I'd consider it more seriously.

Nephron is right, and you needn't worry. Zoloft is a pretty innocuous drug that really isn't going to react with anything conceivable you might be given. I take Nardil (an MAOI) and do have a bracelet, as MAOIs can have nasty interactions with various other drugs, particularly with some anesthetics.Todd

>With Zoloft & other SSRI's you only need to worry about other drugs that raise serotonin levels. Demerol & Tramdol are narcotics that raise serotonin, but you aren't likely to get these in an emergency suitation.
