Hi,
I was hopeing whether someone has used dexedrine and swited to concerta and experienced any difference between the two meds.
I got my pdoc to prescribe Concerta because through my research it says it lasts 12 hours.
However I am on 36mg of concerta for a little over 2wks now and I am feeling no real effect compared to 10mg X 3 times a day of dexemphatamine.
If I increase my dosage will it help or am a better off going back to dexedrine.
Please note in OZ(AUS) we do not have adderall,XR or dexedrine SR available .I am also on 40mg Prozac will it interact with concerta in any way.

When I took concerta all I did was yawn all day. I have found that with most time release I need a small amount of short acting to make me feel like it is kicking in. Methlyphenidate doesn't work well for me. I prefer dexedrine sr and short acting adderall.

thanks blondgirl47 for the info.
its strange how the same medication effects people different ways.i was always yawning with dexemphatamine but for me i took it as its working.with concerta at 36mg i feel nothing.
if adderrall xr ever becomes available i will try it but i am going to give concerta a chance.next time i see my pdoc i might ask for immediate release ritalin to take with concerta in the morning instead of increasing dosage.
thanks again blondgirl47
