Hi, my nuerolgist put me on Trileptal for some nerve damage to my lower back and leg. I take 1,200 mg a day. I have found that the medication works wonders for my anxiety. My pdoc. has me on 60mg of Lexapro and 4mg of Klonopin for anxiety, depression, and OCD.
I am 28 years old and since the age of 18 I have used smokeless tobacco.
About two years ago when all the health problems hit me I decided it was time to quit. So, I stopped dipping about a year and a half ago.But ever since I started taking the Trileptal I began craving nicotine and dipping again. I even went out and bought two cans. I don't want to start back on the rollercoaster ride of smokeless tobacco and the health risk it creates.
I was wondering if anyone had any info. to maybe if the Trileptal had anything to do with triggering the nicotine connection. I was thinking that maybe the calming effect it produces is that similar to the nicotine. If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate hearing them. THANKS
