I need a pdoc wholl prescribe benzos when idicated, stimulants when indicated, and willing to listen to something thats not been shoved down there throats by drug companies. I dont want to start paxil for the 4th time because they saw a nice commercial about it for social anxiety. See I only have very basic medical coverage that will pay part way for 10 visits relating to mental health, hence why I say the above. Id be willing to here about surrounding area (miami, even further, why not) thanks, very important to me.

Hi Jonh,
I live in Miami and have done exhaustive research on the best PDOCS in the area. I recommend Dr. Irl Extein (Delray Beach) and Dr. Arnold Lieber (Miami). Where in South Florida are you?Good luck,
Dazed

Im one state up, south carolina. But i just wanted to say i spent alot of time in canada when i was younger and the medical system sucks. You will find it much easier here in the states and for the most part, good pdocs. I had a bad one once, but you just switch if there's a problem. Right now i am uninsured and i only pay $75 usd per visit to my pdoc. So, thats not bad at all...

Hi Jonh,
No waiting lists that I am aware of...and yes, these are progressive, knowledgeable PDOCs. Apptointments runj $150 for first visit, $50 - $75 for follow ups. I live in Miami. Keep me posted on how you are doing. By the way, Naples is a couple of hours away from Miami. You may find someone closer, but I don't know of anyone. Good luck!

In Naples Fl, I recommend Dr. Jay Temkin, look him up...He's a no nonsense, give-it-to-ya-straight type that I've had free and open discussions with about the problems w/ modern psychiatry (esp. the evil ploys of pharma companies), all the numerous crappy "placebo" type drugs, and my previous self medication. I am honest with him and he has prescribed me adequate doses of stims and benzos as I have responded better to such treatment vs. ssri's etc.
Good Luck
