trying to get abilify registered in canada
reason given: only mood stabilizer that doesn't worsen ADHD
my doc wants me to do all the work looking for supporting articles (meanwhile he bills the system, ug... )
if there is nothing out there i will probably contact sunnybrook and see if i can get a doctor willing to do a similiar study (would really help me get into med school)

In reply to Abilify best med for bipolar + ADHD? any articles?, posted by cybercafe on August 14, 2004, at 1:40:21
I am not any help when it comes to articles but I am interested to see that there is interest in a paper for abilify and adhd and bipolar.
I am Bipolar 1 and Adhd was taking abilify. My brain normally goes fast (not racing) and I am in high gear due to the Adhd. Abilify slowed me down so much that I had to take the med at night. I took the med as an antipsychotic. I was really shocked when it slowed me down like it did, especially when my pdoc told me it was "activating".
Just thought I would mention this. Good luck with your paper and school!

> Hundredhugsthanks dude.... i don't know how delusional i am ... but i figure i have nothing to lose by at least asking why the head doctors aren't studying this .... and display my knowledgle of neuropsychopharmacology in the process... and maybe get a job torturing rats... that will help me get into med school sometime in the near future... so i can spend my life hanging out with cool treatment resistant dudes.. .and get paid big $$$$ for it..... ahhhh yes that is the life :) :)
