Somewhere in someone's recent post (I can't find it now), it was said that "Cymbalta is similar to Parnate". Does anybody have a take on this? Aren't they different mechanisms of action? Cymbalta touts equal inhibition of serotonin and NE, but its prescribing info DOES say "...less potent inhibitor of dopamine reuptake."
(Sounds identical to Effexor, actually, despite marketing claims)
Anyhow, any opinions on whether Cymbalta is similar to Parnate would be helpful, as it has been mentioned as the next choice if I can't get over Parnate side effects. Thanks!

Thanks!I havent seen anything on the net about Cymbalta having any direct effect on Dopamine, but then some people here keep claiming that Zoloft has some effect on Dopamine despite the fact that I cant ever seem to find any info on that either.
Do you have a link to this ?
