I've been on 10 mg Lexapro now for 6 days. I notice that at certain times of the day I feel better. Mornings are still very difficult. I sometimes have that mild swirly feeling in my head (don't really know high to describe it) and a light pressure on my nose at other times. I'm also taking 150 mg of Wellbutrin to counteract sexual side effects, but so far that isn't working (inability to gain an erection). Does that mean that the Wellbutrin isn't going to work for the sse's or should I give it more time with the Wellbutrin?

I think you should wait at least a few weeks to see if your sse's go away.

Neil,
Give it time. I have found that Lexapro has not interfered with my sex drive at all now after six months. It did at first however for the first six weeks or so. Hang in there.

I have been on Lex, currently at 30mg, for nearly 4 months and I have not had a problem with my libido or an erection for that matter. Lexapro, unlike Prozac, is suppose to not have that dreaded sexual side effect. What were you on before you switched to Lex? Perhaps, you are still experiencing a side effect from a previous AD. I also took Wellbutrin before and I know for sure that it didn't effect my libido either. I would suggest waiting longer for Lex to do its thing and you may even be able to drop the Wellbutrin. Lex is the only AD I am taking, currently, except for a very low dose Remeron every other day to help with insomnia. Good luck.
