Hi P-Babblers,
Been on this board since 2000, but it's been a long time since I have posted. I have a question. . .
On Effexor 225 mg. for 4 years now. Like the song says, "I need a new drug, one that won't make me sick. . " I have been taking this med and have never acheived remission from depression.
If I did not have to work, I could tough it out and stay in bed for a few weeks until the vertigo and nausea passes, but that is not a possibility.I want to try Cymbalta and have an appt. with Pdoc this week. Can I just stop Effexor and start up Cymbalta? Do I have to taper off Effexor? I feel like I will never, ever, get off of this medication that is clearly doing nothing for me.
Thanks, AnneL
