Yes, Provigil is a tease. It feels like a miracle and then just stops working, yet still I want to take more. Than it actually makes me feel bad and I still want to take it. I don't know what to do, other than perhaps go the homeopathic route, because the other stuff that works--prozac--makes me frigid--and I want to enjoy sex now that I am in my sesxual prime! I'll take prozac when I am in the nursing home. So, I guess I don't know what to do. You might want to try ritalin, but that stuff made me so depressed. Adderall works, but I found it addictive. Keep me posted.

Provigil stopped working for me after about two weeks. I switched to Concerta in the mornings and Focalin when needed in the evenings.

I'm sorry, I didn't catch the depression part in your original post. The "euphoric" feeling that comes from taking Provigil dosen't last. At least that is what happened to me. The Doc said that the part that remains is the "wakefulness agent" part. It's too bad, at first Provigil seemed like a great anti-depressant.

You might want to stop taking it for a couple of days and then start again. That sometimes works. And this doesn't make sense to me but for some reason the more coffee I drink with it the less it works. If I put off having coffee till later in the day and just use the Provigil to wake me up earlier in the day I do much better. Its a funky med but its been really helpful the majority of the time for me and I wouldn't want to give it up for anything.

How do you like the Concerta? Does it cause much anxiety?

Concerta is great, a much smoother delivery than Aderall XL or Ritalin LA. I have social anxiety pretty bad anyway, so I'm taking a little bit (probably too little) of Klonopin for that. In some sense I felt like Provigil had an anti-anxiety effect that Concerta does not, but in terms of increasing anxiety, I haven't found that. Seems to be about anxiety neutral. Concerta gets rid of my ADHD for 10-11 hours.
