Okay, here we go again...if I look like an idiot so what..I've got questions...this database is supposed to accumulate knowledge so somebody read between the lines and clear this up for me.
"A large percentage of murderers and physical abusers have some form of autism"...read that somewhere. Let's say, there was an incentive to stop those with very high-functioning autism from becoming what they might become...OR let's say somebody just wants to do people like this a favour. When I talk high-functioning, I'm talking about those who easily pass for normal except under extreme stress and even in those situations might only do little things. I'm talking about those who might have obsessive traits or *might* become stalkers. ( Has anybody seen Red Dragon? ) Or maybe I'm just talking about some other disorder.. I don't know... what I do know is what was done.
Would an effective treatment be putting them through a very confusing array of events, stressing them with drugs and with situations? Also doing little things like very quickly saying stuff, then halting, or purposely setting up situations with multiple meanings that may or or may not be related to them, and finally copying mannerisms, and even phrases, that surface.
I don't know if there's any sense to this.. in fact I know very little about autism.. I do know what happened to me though and I know that the staff in the hospital were treating me very strangely, as well as people I know, and I know I acted pretty strangely sometimes too. It was a massive operation.

add to the symptoms list broad base egocentric thought - delusions centered around an obsession of the year/months..whatever.

I'm not kidding. what the hell were they trying to do!? These were mental health professionals doing this stuff. They wouldn't be doing it for no reason - I mean the copy-cat stuff and the stressing me out.

I'm disturbed about the dx of autism being linked to murderous, psychopathic stalking behavior. I work with children with autism and also have a cousin with autism. Behaviors like that would never even occur to them. Some do have OCD type behaviors and have difficulty processing auditory information (do better with words and pictures) but these folks are not psychopathic or paranoid. Please try to be careful with information you're suggesting when you really don't seem to know anything about the group you are slandering. It sounds like you were in a very upsetting situation but it had nothing to do with autism.
