Lyrica losing effectiveness

Posted by jlbl2l on December 10, 2004, at 13:55:05

I have been on Lyrica for a few months and it was so great but I am sad to report it is losing effectiveness for anxiety et. It seems it is similar to most meds like benzos. I may try to go on a drug holiday and see if the effectiveness returns.

That is bad news!

A drug holiday sounds like a good idea, I find that my tolerance to dexedrine goes down within a day or two, but the deal is probably different with sedatives.
I never seemed to build up a tolerance to GHB, but that probably something unique about GHB.

This is somewhat disapointing. I thought the whole point of pregabalin was that it addressed the tolerance issues of gabapentin! Ah well perhaps it will work for other people.

Do you think perhaps that it could work at a plataued dose for some people, like klonopin seems to be able to do? Or do you think the tolerance is inevitable?

Lyrica? What a pretty name for a drug. How do they come up with these names?
