Donna Louise: Still on Cymbalta?

Posted by Minnie-Haha on February 2, 2005, at 13:43:49

Donna Louise:

Are you still taking Cymbalta? Is it still working for you? How's your blood pressure?

I have been on 60mg a little over 6 weeks now. I've gained a couple of pounds and my BP seems to be going up. Also still having a little problem with the flat/amotivated effect, but my mood is very good and anxiety rarely intrudes (and only at very low level).

Hey Minnie, sorry to take a few days since you posted to get back to you.
I am still on cymbalta, and yes, my bp is up some but it has been low so that isn't a problem..yet. And I have gained a few lbs too but that could be from other things. Like eating too much and sleeping too much. I have added wellbutrin for some motivation and energy. It is helping some so far. I still have some anxiety but it isn't too bad, I think I will always have some unless I take about 30mg of valium. Not a good idea for me.
I do take a very small amount of klonopin a few times a week. 1/4 to 1/3 of the .5 mg. I know, it isn't much but that little bit helps alot. Anyway, the cymbalta is working better for me than any other SRI has in a long time. I just can't seem to get 100% all the time, drat it all :-)

Sounds like your experience so far is very similar to mine. Thanks for the reply.

Gladly, I appreciate you keeping in touch to compare notes. I find that very helpful.
