I was just wondering if anyone else with depression and/or anxiety feels worst on Sundays, or especially by Sunday nights. We've known about some people getting depressed from reduced sunlight in winter, or getting post-Xmas-New Year holiday blues, but what about Sunday/Sunday eves.? if I'm feeling out of whack to begin with, there's something about this day that makes it seem even worse. Anyone else?

Do you mean you get anxious/depressed because you have to work at a job you don't like monday?

I always like your perceptive replies.
The answer is no, quite the contrary. I enjoy my work as a teacher, although it can be quite unrewarding. I've always experienced this crappy Sunday feeling ever since I can remember--good job or not! (today I felt a bit better than usual since I had taken .5mg. Klonopin)

Yes - all of my life. I have always suffered from depression, and Sundays have always been bad for me - particularly Sunday nights!

I've also always found Sunday to be a boring depressing day, we're not alone, many people I know feel this way. Light up a spliff, have a cup of tea and put your feet up, it'll be gone in a few hours.
Till next week......... *hums Jaws music*

Absolutely! Sundays are the worst! Since I was small I have found them to be depressing, along with Monday mornings. Almost like a panic, and anxiety rolled into one. I never want to go to work, and always think about calling in sick. (never do) Things seem the worst on Sunday night, and I guess I need to reaize that myself. I'm learning something here? Thanks!~! I remember when I had a job I disliked tremendously, I would feel that way the day before I had to go back.
Is it possible that you aren't doing as much as you'd like to on the weekend, and feel guilty about it? An example being: not getting all the housework done, etc...?
I know my dad used to get weekend migraines when he was working. I'm not sure whether it was from a release of tension from the past weeks work or guilt from not being as productive as he'd like to be on the weekend.

It is for me because I am unable to work, and all the days are the same. Fondly, Phillipa-------And Sundays make me aware that others are home today and will be at work tomorrow.
