Depression?

With psychotherapy?

Yes, it does.

I hope your new plan brings you success. What kind of psychotherapy will you be working with?

You sound better now than you have in the past. Is your anxiety level significantly lower now than it had been?

CBT is good stuff.

Good luck. You sound very motivated. I bet you'll be very successful with your new plan.

This is all new to me as well.

I know how scarey it is to find yourself in a "pit" that is so unfamiliar and unsure how to get out of it.

I am going through CBT as well (although alone with just a book) and I have read wonderful success stories.

I guess my only concern would be that if you do have a chemical problem, is it possible you may still need some type of medication?

I don't know the specifics of how long you were on meds or what types, but I applaud you for doing your best to get yourself well.

Hi crazychick! Maybe you need to look at meds again. I know how afraid of them you are. The CBT will sometimes work better if you take a small dose of an anti-anxiety drug. Is your OT taking you out to help with the agoraphobia? If she is, you are very lucky to have someone who will use this as a part of therapy, and not just tell you to do it yourself. Fondly, Phillipa
