Why are you supposed to take anti-depressants in the morning?
Why not in the evening?
Just wondering...
'Cause it would be easier for me to try and remember to take it in the evening when I take my other one (which has to be taken in the evening 'cause of sedation).
Ta.

I've had times where I took it in the evening with better results. Sometimes taking it in the morning would just send my day into full blown drowsiness.

My Doc said to try both with the Efexor-XR and see what worked best for me as the effects on sleep differ between people, and that the important thing was to find a routine that worked for me. Didn't seem to make much difference to me and morning was just easier for me to remember.

On my pill bottle it says to take my effexor in the evening. I take it in the morning anyway, as it's easier for me to remember then. It doesn't make any difference to me when I take it (as long as I do take it ;))

Depends on the individual. If it stimulates you, if it's sedating in the evening. Fondly, Phillipa

Thanks everyone.
Maybe I'll keep taking it in the morning for a while longer (just started this morning). Apparantly you can feel a bit anxious / agitated when you first start taking it - and I do need to get adequate sleep.
Also I am finding that the seroquel is making me really drowsy in the morning (well this morning anyway) so if it does help me wake up a bit that would be great.
Thanks.
