I'm on Effexor xr starting third week 75 mg. Lost 12 pounds in the three weeks. During my depression I've exercised three times a week last year and could not loose a pound. Even though I pretty much ate the same food. But admit that food gave me comfort, cravings for carbohydrates especially. And especially my abs where is so hard to loose weight show drastic change. Anyone experienced this? By the way love this forum. Thanks,

I've lost about 30 lbs. on Effexor and I really need to lose a few more. I'm delighted with this "side effect." I don't crave junk food so much anymore and I'm much more energetic than before Effexor. I also lost weight when I was on Zoloft a few years back for post-partum depression, so I think that eating for comfort was part of my life too. I hope things continue to go well for you!

I'm 43. I'm also a late bloomer...4 pregnancies since 1998. I've been a bit on the fluffy side most of my life!
