Hey, well last week I finally quit celexa - I was on a tiny dose for ages, tapering down really slowly. I'm also currently taking reboxetine.
I decided to stop the celexa because I couldn't deal with the apathy any longer, and because I was running out of celexa and my doc thought I just be taking the reboxetine.
Anyway, now I am feeling so bad I just want to curl up and die. I can barely make it to work in one piece. I'm supposed to be moving in two weeks to a completely different part of the country and also moving in with my partner. I'm am very scared! I guess its not a good time right now.
Anyway reboxetine seems to have been working quite well in combo with celexa but now that I have weaned off it, I don't want to go back on it. Plus I would like to quit reboxetine because I have got acne with it and my periods have completely disappeared which is freaking me out. I only have one ovary, so anything to do with things like that scare me. Plus it seems to have pooped out on me.
So I was thinking of switching completely to wellbutrin. I need the noradrenalin and serotonin action I think (I find rebox really calming -no panic whatsoever!), and well I wouldn't mind not having any sexual side effects, as I will be moving in with my boyf, so that would be a bonus. And hell, I've never had any dopamine action before, so I might see how that goes. I have no motivation whatsoever, so perhaps some dopamine might be useful......who knows.
Maybe I should combine rebox with wellbutrin? who knows. Plus I take it there isn't a mote of difference between zyban and wellbutrin? I live in the UK, and wellbutrin isn't available.

In reply to I'm feeling terrible -switch to wellbutrin p'haps?, posted by Meri-Tuuli on August 31, 2005, at 3:56:44
Wellburin is not thought to have a serotonergic mechanism. It seems to have noradrenergic and dopaminergic actions.
You could try wellbtrin, if no good responce I would try a wellburtin and celexa combination.
