I have been on a combination of Lithium and Lamictal for two years now and this combo has been the only thing that has worked for my BPII which includes severe depression and suicidal thoughts. I recently started taking birth control pills and begin to suffer severe anxiety attacks. I suspect this is directly related to the BC pills but the anxiety bouts have happened at other times. Anybody have any similar experience?

I have experienced hugely increased anxiety when my hormones have been out of whack. Being on the right BC pill - and there are so many different ones out there - can have a big impact on the anxiety I feel.
Right now the Lamictal and the Lo-Ovral pill I take do not interfere with each other. (I'm also on Cymbalta and Campral.)

Thanks! I am not imagining it. I will try to change pills.
