I see my pdoc in 1 1/2 hours and I don't know what to tell him. I feel absolutely GREAT; better than ever. I think I might be hypomanic (diagnosed BP II) but I don't think I want to make him think I'm hypomanic because he may change my meds. I LIKE FEELING LIKE THIS!!! He might change my meds if he thinks I'm hypomanic. The combo of Wellbutrin and Depakote seems to be the best for me. I'm really conflicted. Do I tell him I feel this wonderful and he might make it end, or play it down so he doesn't suspect?

if you're feeling great, that's great--its not really "hypomania", at least not in any dangerous sense. I'd just say hey, the meds are working, I feel balanced and happy, good work. Even if you are mildly hypomanic, its really not a problem unless its causing a real problem in your life..that would be when meds should be adjusted. Good luck!

I'd ride with it as long as you are vigilent about getting irritable, grandious, making bad decisions.
But if you are holding it together than let yourself FEEL GOOD!!!

Sonya, I know I am late in responding. But did you know that restricting your food will give you a high? It will at first anyway. Later on you will start to feel exhausted all the time but let's leave that for now.
Anyhow, just thought I would point it out.
Take care,
MaximePS - Why do you think I am posting at 12 o'clock at night. I can't $@##! sleep! And I am so depressed and I just want to escape.

GREAT! Pdoc complimented and congratulated me on weight loss. Said "it looked good on me". He did ask at one point: "Are you getting manic on me?" to which I replied "nah, because I'm sleeping a good 7-8 hrs a night" (liar, liar pants on fire). It's 4:27am and I feel like I could run the NYC marathon. I think I'll get on the treadmill.

>Yeah, Maxime, Racer pointed that out to me on the Eating Board. But y'know for someone who normally sees the cup half empty and always worrying about the future, I'm enjoying this for what it's worth and refuse to think about what may come of it.

>Oh, Hon - what can I/we do to help? Please let us know. I know very well that "wanting to escape" feeling. Maybe if you can vent to us it may help a little? Hope you got some sleep.

I slept for about an hour. There is nothing anyone can do to help, but thanks for asking.
