has anyone gotten past the initial first day or so and been able to acheive orgasms normally. just as good as before starting lexapro. i'm a female wondering. took it for one day.

Lexapro gave me sexual side effects right away, but they seemed to diminish and go away over about a 3 to 4 week period. But the highest dose I was on was 10mg. Any more than that probably would have given more lasting problems.
Prozac was the only one that did not affect my sex life permanently. It did immediatley, but then somehow things got better. With all the other ssris, with a slight exception of lexapro, things never got better.

The first SSRI I took for several years was Paxil...ruined sex life. No snsation. Switched to Celexa and things improved...now small dose 5mg of lex and I dont have any side effects. May be due to 5 years plus on celexa/lex I have adjusted. Those on 20 plus mg of lex have reported problems.
