I tried Nardil last summer along with Depakote (ER, 2000 mg). Eventually, I went off the Depakote and gradually upped the Nardil to 90 mg. I found Paxil CR (75 mg) and Depakote to be more effective...I even gave the Nardil a good two months. I have depression, social anxiety disorder and OCD. Anyone else find it ineffective? My OCD became unmanageable, as did my depression. It seems like everyone here has nothing but positive things to say about the MAOIs. I'm on Paxil and Depakote again, and don't feel grounded the way I did the first time around.

Hello
Although Nardil is frequently an effective treatment for social phobia and depression, not everyone responds well to Nardil by any means. Unlike Paxil, Nardil is not an established treatment for OCD.

I had only a very partial response to Nardil. Was on it 3 months up to 75mg. I had a hard time with insomnia and sexual dysfunction and so couldn't go higher.
