i am on lexapro for 6 months and just started lamictal 4 days ago. i don't know if it is just my imagination but i feel like myself again. my dr. prescribed lexapro for some anxiety i was having the i told her about some o.c.d. rituals i was doing (counting, obsessing on certain numbers that have to do with the ages of people in my family, and if i don't touch my window of my door when i walk out of the house something is going to happen to someone in my family, etc.........) she prescribed the lamictal. i feel like my head is so clear. has anyone had this experience?

Currently on 300mg Lamictal and starting dose of 50mg desipramine. Only side effects so far are slight tingling in my hands and restless sleep. Nothing I cant put up with at this point.

Hi, glad to hear of your positive response to Lamictal. I was put on Lamictal about a month ago, for depression, and the effect was immediate and very positive.
I take 25mg and get elevated mood, confidence, sociability, and in short am more functional. As for a 'clear head,' like you mention, I don't know. But things that used to bother me don't so much, anymore, and that makes thinking clearer.
Only side-effect seems to be difficulty sleeping.
Hope it continues to work out for you.
This is the end of the thread.
