I started the lyrcia, however in all honesty its too early too even give any information.
Reason being prior to it i was in a horrid state and 2 days without sleep having many types of sedatives in me,and yess i know i messed up there.
So upon taking lyrcia i experiacned the common stupour,it was very odd because it seemed to go away however kept comming back randomly without re dose.
This could be due to the interaction of the prior sedatives,or it not working well with parnate and parnate kinda re-iniating it,i dont know.
I do know however i read one persons story, and followed her advice, which was taking a very very small amount and i have, approx 50 mg if that with my normal parnate dose, and the morning today went ok,but again i have a long way to go to decide if i want to stay on it.
I do know the stupour was more than i could handle, mainly because it was iresponsive to added stimulants,in fact stimulants worsened the sedating effect.

>My advice(not that you asked for it, ha)is to be very patient with Lyrica. Intitially, i did not like it at all, it made me feel very sedated, foggy, and cognitively impaired. I "stuck it out" mainly out of desperation, and i thank God every day that i did. I was on it a month before i noticed the anitidepressant, energizing, pro-social effects that i am now enjoying. I came sooo close to discontinueing this drug, that know when i think about it, it makes me shudder.
I sincerely hope it works for you. When/if it does, it'll be like a light switch being turned on..click, and suddenly, whoa! But, it'll take high dose to experience this, 500-600 mgs. a day.
Now, every day is a pretty damn good for me! I'm holding at 300mgs. b.i.d. now for about 3 mos.Best wishes.

If you dont mind,im curious of a few things.Trying to keep up with what goes on i believe you recently started zoloft correct?
IF so,and i say if,could that be a possable contribtuion to the mood lift,or do you not believe this to be the case.
Also do you, knowing meds fairly well, believe a maoi might alter either prolong or diminish any effect?I am hesitant to use this med,as it doesent seem to be enough, however im not pass up a try,i always said, present me with something reasonable,no one seemed to do this, except critque me was what they did.
So im in for a long haul?Im at 300 mg a day now.
Last question, and if you answer any or some of them is still apeciated by me,is if you are indeed taking it in conjunction with other meds,do you do so togther or do you take your lyrcia at one time,i.e night?
Thanks, sorry to bother you but my doc is not much help in this area, and its not specific to this drug.I really have no one to turn to to guide me,and i have explored many many areas in my town.

My opinion is that it has not contributed to the mood lift i get from Lyrica. Why do i take it then? I guess it's kind of my "safety net"..that's about the best way i can explain it. I take 100mgs.of Zoloft per day.

>I have to tell you when i learned you were taking Lyrica w/Parnate i immediately thought this may not be a good idea..Knowing personally how powerful Parnate is. Am i advising you to go off Parnate. No. However, i must be honest of my concern/suspiscion of combining the two drugs..i just can't help but wonder if the Parnate may interfer with how Lyrica affects the brain. On the other side of the coin, i might be completely wrong, they might work very well together. Sorry, tough question????

I take it in conjunction with my other meds. In the morning 6 or 7:00 a.m., i take 100mgs. of Zoloft, 300mgs. of Lyrica, and 1 mg. of Klonopin. Then i take my next 300 mgs. of Lyrica at 1:00 p.m., and finally i take another 1mg. of Klonopin at 6:00 p.m.

I agree with your entire assesment, one of parnates attributes is it tends to not particulary have interactions, but instead sorta MELT into secondary drugs.Nurontion for example, parnate plus this drug can give you you a very different feel from either one alone. With that said,im 27,been on this maoi at least 5 years so you can imagine i was not handed it....what im geting to here is i dont have an option for ssris,i spent approx 6 years on them, having been on just about all of them, alone,in cocktail,etc....and i dont more than not respond,i got worse, and i simply could not tolerate them. That is how i ever discovered a maoi even exsisted because i was near the end.
So i have a lot of thinking to do,i just wish i felt my docter was behind me,im going to have to do something about that, but at this point im noticing severe obsessing,so bad to the point im only going out for errands and stuff, its sad to see yourself detariate,ah cant spell that, but on a final note one thing i think im gonna do that we both share is go to 1 mg of klonopin. At this point what worse could a more benzo dependance affect my life then the point im at.
Sorry to roll off topic so,thanks for the info,i will stay on this trial regardless but im starting to think i was more obsessed about not being allowed it than actualy having it.
Thanks much
