Bitchy, bitchy, bitchy...

Posted by TrishP on November 24, 2006, at 9:38:15

Ok - I like the AD effects of the Abilify, but after almost 3 weeks I am really bitchy in the morning. The doc's nurse chalks it up to the akathasia.

I can't stand myself. Is there anything I can add to the Abilify to help make me a nicer person?

I talke the Abiify at night and I sleep great! But, I wake up as a bitch!

What do I do? I could take Xanax in the morning and afternoon. Is that the answer?!

It could be worse, Trish, you could wake up

Itchy Itchy Itchy

I don't know if this will work for you, it does for me.

Keep a glass of water next to your bed and drink it as soon as you wake up. I drink several glasses but to tell the truth this is mainly due to horrendous thirst due to Olanzapine and Lithium. Throughout the day I find that drinking some water improves my mood. For me it works immediately.

I wish you a speedy recovery

....ronaldo
900 mg Lithium
7.5 mg Olanzapine (decreasing)

Do the professionals supervising your treatment have no advice for these problems Trish?

Have you considered trying another drug since Abilify seems to be causing many problems for you? There are plenty of other meds that could have similar beneficial effects that do not cause akathisia.

I am happy, happy, happy ... Abilify was added to Lamictal to help me get over bitchy, bitchy, bitchy. I can't remember what else you take already?

Right now Abilify if the only thing I take aside from the occasional Xanax or Klonopin.

Lamictal alone wasn't enough to help me. I ended up adding the Abilify to it and mood wise it seems to have been a good fit for me.
