if lyrica has a heavy anti-anxiety effect, does it then have a big drowsiness, sedative effect? i have already have so much fatigue, i do not want it to worsen...

I have a terrible problem with fatigue as well.I wouldn't say Lyrica caused me 'heavy' sedation. When I first started it I took it at night only and within a few hours of taking it I would enjoy a very deep a restful sleep. A little bit groggy in the morning but not in a bad way. More in a goofy, stumble-drunk way. I would have a day or two of reduced anxiety after one dose of 50-75mg of Lyrica in the beginning.
I really took my time with this drug as I am phobic of anything that could be sedating. I was not committed to at all at first just kind of checking it out.
It became rather energizing for a time and now it feels as though it has more of a leveling effect on my moods and energy. It does have very nice anti-depressant effects for me.
I have been on Lyrica for about 9-10 months.

Low dose Lyrics = sedation
High dose Lyrica = stimulation
Google 'high dose lyrica'...

I am taking 225 to 300mg per day divided up with the largest portion of it taken at bedtime.I sleep beautifully on it although it does not necessarily induce sleep for me now. I take ambien when I need it.
I think then quality of sleep I get on Lyrica is responsible for my improved stamina and energy.
I would go higher except I tend to get the munchies and the stoopids on higher doses. I am trying to get by on as little as possible.
