Just an FYI for anyone who is interested, I am scheduled to go to surgery for the VNS implant on the 15th. This coming Thur. march 15th. I am still a little scared, nervous, yet hopeful that the opportunity for me is there for me to have it done . I will do my best to keep everyone updated as well if anyone has any questions in regards to what I know about it thus far (pre-op)please feel free to ask.

I wish you all the best for a successful outcome. About a month ago I watched a program that followed two people who had the VNS implant and it was remarkable. The program even showed the doctors working on one of the patients while they identified where the device should go and the appropriate frequency (I hope I have that right). Anyway, both people who were profiled had been severely depressed for so long and the change was incredible.

I'm anxious to see how it works for you. It may be in my very near future. What are your symptoms/ diagnoses?
