What about tianeptine?
It is said (I think) to have a beneficial effect on irritable bowel syndrome. It is mildly prosocial, and may be helpful for the other things as well.
There are threads here that you can read where people discuss it.

Yes.I have heard good opinion about tianeptine. But I do not know whether it is approved in India or not.Among the drugs discussed on this forum,i have not tried any MAOI.Except that i have tried all the drugs discussed here and i wonder how people discuss about stoping a drug just because of side effect. If I get a drug which reduces my symptoms even with side effects,i would be more then happy. So,far all the meds have given me only side effects without improving my symptoms at all.

Hello,
I had severe Social Anxiety Disorder for twenty-five years. After taking Paxil for two and one half years it was totally gone. I know, based on your post, that you have probably tried Paxil. But did you take it for an extened period? It took that long to work for me so maybe you need to persist with it. By the way, Paxil did nothing for my depression. But the [unexpected] remission of SAD was a suprise and a huge blessing.

You're from India?
Tianeptine (Stablon) is made in India, and I have bought it from there.
The drug is manufactured by the original patent holder Servier via its subsidiary Serdia in India.
I don't know where exactly though.I imagine the different Indian states have very different regulations.

I have taken Paroxetine for 3 years and My dose was gradually increased to 50 MG which gave me nightmares and i used to wake up in the midnight.I have tried Paroxetine, fluoxetine, escitalopram, alprazolam, clonazepam, diazepam, chlordiazepoxide, clobazam, venlafaxine, mirtazapine, bupropion, imipramine, clomipramine, modafinil, amisulpride, pregabalin, gabapentin, lamotrigine, buspirone and tiagabine so far. Thanks for information on tianeptine.I was not sure it is available in India because it is not approved by FDA otherwise India has one of the best pharma industry in the world.I will try tianeptine and also,if you can suggest anything else. But,I think it would be a pleasant surprise if it works for me because i have become so passimistic now.
This is the end of the thread.
