I told my pharmacist that I have had bladder urgency, spasms and urinary frequency from a lot of the SSRIs and even Effexor. He said that I should try Celexa - something about how the others (Zolfot, Prozac, Lexapro bind to the receptors)?
I had the worst time on Lexapro with bladder problems. I thought Celexa and Lexapro were pretty much the same. If Lexapro caused bladder problems, wouldn't Celexa?
My doc did say I could try the Emsam patch, but when I read the side effects, uniarty tract infections was a major side effect!

I read it on the side effects profile.

Really I have a box of it here but google is easier to read than the small writing on the paper in the box. Thanks so much for the info. Love Phillipa

I would think so.

You're perhaps misinterpreting the side effects report for Emsam. First off, when listed in the text section, 'frequent' indicates an incidence rate of somewhere between 1 and 2% of subjects. Second, it is not compared with the placebo group, and may be totally unrelated to the medication. For example, the very same report is found with Lexapro. It might simply reflect that UTIs are rather commonplace occurrences.
