I'm so scared to take this abilify my pdoc prescribed to me. It's 5mg, but she said to break it in half and take 2.5mg. I'm scared to take it as I'm so sentsative to medications and side effects. And....Abilfy has a 72 hour half life.....Please people, should I take it or not?
My primary diagnosis is GAD and Depression since my 39 y.o. brother passsed away earlier this year.

Gary so sorry about your brother how horrible. I did answer your post above and for a short time maybe the abilify would help. 2.5mg is a low dose. Love Phillipa

I have been taking 2.5mg for about three years now, started with a higher dose but I, too, am very sensitive to dosages and we wound up with this one. It works wonderfully, give it a chance.

I take 2 1//2 mg also, and find that it helps tremendously with anxiety and obsessive thoughts.
I'd give it a try. You can always stop if you have any side effects, but if you don't, it could help significantly.
