Am on third day of stopping Emsam without any decrease first. This is due to sore mouth I described in previous post. Am already feeling funky. Has anyone else gone straight off without any decrease? I have a feeling this is going to be hard.

I hope it's not too hard for you did your doc suggest anything to take like a benzo to help? Phillipa

Yeah, I went off it cold and 2 days later was writhing with flu like symptoms and couldn't sleep for 2 days. It was the most miserable withdrawal I've ever experience, but I was coming off the BIG patch. I finally had to put a sliver of a patch back on so I could get some rest/sleep. The symptoms went away within 45 minutes of applying the sliver. I wore that for a few days and pulled it off and all was well enough. A couple things make my situation different though. I was on the 12mg patch and had been for over a year.
