Started David Burns book last night and he said he feels CBT is superior to meds sometimes on med is necessary. Said a 40% reduction of symtoms is not acceptable. l00% or nothing. Only read a bit so tired. love Phillipa

In the med section he seems to say that maois often work best for certain atypical conditions. Often a faster and more dramatic response. maois have been around since the 1950's and the pharm companies still haven't come up with anything more effective. The ssris are safe so they're all the rage to prescribe but unfortunately probably not even as good as the old maois.

SSri's have done nothing for my SP.. nardil made me 100times better in less than 2 weeks.
