Trivastal Reta: I sincerely Thank Servier. France.

Trivastal Retard 50mg

Its generic name is Piribedil which is not available either in US or UK. (Quite unfortunate...)
This is dopaminergic, with hs marked effect on antagonizing noradrenalin. I think it is this property which makes it unique among other dopaminergic.

Now, after being on it for more than a couple of weeks, I want to posit the pros and cons of this great dopaminergic.

Pros: 1. Increased alertness, which keeps one stay up late at night without even bothering his/her sleeping time is being stripped. Because, there is no residual fatigue or cognitive dullness even after hours of sleep deprivation. I can wake up fresh ready for a hard working day.
2. The only medicine that restored in me the ability to feel and enjoy pleasure. Prior to Trivastal, I was constantly avoiding many of the activities which I used to like in the pre-dysthemic period, but as early as the second week on this, I find pleasure even in the stupidest things. I can watch a TV program which depicts a vanishing species somewhere in the obscurity of this planet, with much enthusiasm. But if it the same were offered to me in my pre-Trivastal era, I would have thrown the remote and sleeping in the coach near.

3. Sex is exorbitant now. There was a decline in the past few days, but it has come back with a vengeance. It is constantly high. For the first time, I feel like flirting. LOL.

Now CONS:

1. Sleeping has been a problem. In a wide awakened state, I can’t even go to bed with much confidence. And when I sleep, it always turns out to be a disturbed sleep, with a lot of awakenings in the middle of the night only to glance at the clock to confirm still there are more hours to do in. Besides, there is an early morning awakening too, (This is has been a copy book symptom of depression, but I really enjoy these early awakenings, as it helps me do my work early and head towards office to make it to there before any of my colleagues can catch up.

Still, not sleeping well is not a desirable effect. I am trying to compact this with something else. I can sleep well if I add either Ativan or Ambien. But, I hate to take benzos. Ambien causes depression which is only relieved by mid noon. So, I will be trying Pregabalin too to arrest the sleeping problem.

2. Ups and Crashes: . Even after being on it for over a month on Provigil: a pure stimulant med,, I occasionally, crash during the evening time. I tried to overcome it by splitting my Provigil dose twice daily, but even that didn’t work/ Adding a little bit of Trivastal at this time is of no help as it only adds to nausea and turns me overly emotional.

That’s all for the low down of this great Servier Product. That’s why I began to love it along with Provigil. Provigil alone is a merry go. But with Trivastal, Bingo

Looks interesting. Brand and generic are both available. I think I'll order the brand.
