This morning I went to see the pdoc on call, because my ordinary pdoc is on vacation this week, will see him monday. Anyway, i told her I needed something fast because I want to work the rest of the week, not today though. She brought up stimulants like amphetamines and methylphenidate but she said she wasn't comfortable prescribing stims to another docs patient. So I brought up Sulpiride which was willing to prescribe, she said she was very familiar with it.
I took 50mg at 10am and after an hour or so I started to feel it kick in. It it very sedating or calming, a pleasant feeling. Two hours after I took it I slept like a baby on the sofa and been sleeping for two hours. I think I will take another 50mg before bed time, and then decide tomorrow morning if I will take 50mg once or twice a day.
We said 50mg, but from what I'm reading 100mg is still well in the antidepressant zone. The anxiolytic effect was immediate, how about the antidepressant effect, when (if) should it start lifting my mood? Although my mood lifted a bit with the anxiolytic effect I'm looking for more drive./Mattias
