Hi,
Last week i have changed from Effexor XR 225 mg to Cymbalta 60 mg. I feel more alert, i have more energy. My memory and my sex drive are better too.
However i feel a bit more anxious and irritable on this stuff. May be i need to increase slightly my Seroquel dose. Hum...
So, may i know what is your experience with the Cymbalta, especially if you're bipolar? Thanks.

In jest how would you know anymore with the new subtypes a joke. I am not bipolar but tolerated 60 fine with benzos. I know my post isn't helpful but now that Canada has cymbalta will be great to hear how you guys do and great luck to you Maximus. Phillipa

Maybe I should of gave cymbalta more time when I tried the switch a couple years ago. I had the same thing going on with it making me anxious and irritable. I think I went down to 150mg of effexor when I started cymbalta. I hope it works out for you. I know we have both been bothered with the sexual side effects of effexor. Keep in touch and let me know how its going. It would probably be a wise choice to up the seroquel for the time being.

Hi!I'm bipolar type 2 and I started Cymbalta over a month ago at 60 mg. I'm also on 200 mg of Seroquel. I haven't experienced any anxiety from this med and I am prone to anxiety.
Maybe you can increase the seroquel?

Yep, sexual side effects are almost gone.
Cymbalta is really a strong antidepressant. I will increase my Seroquel dose. I want to keep the monster at bay.See you!

>Hey you,
I'm glad to have some news from you. So you don't get any sign of anxiety with Cymbalta? That's great. May be it is a very mild case of agitation? I'm not sure. With the Seroquel dose increased i will be ok. But i have this thing in my mind. May be the Cymbalta is simply too strong for me?
I'm going to give it a chance but i feel a bit nervous about it... Bye and thanks.

Maybe 30mg would be enough and not cause anxiety.
