Does anyone have an confidence that if you are on an SSRI for a long period of time, and then go off of it, you will return to your pre--SSRI brain? They say long term use reduces the sensitivity of the pre-synaptic autoreceptors and reduces the number of post-synaptic receptors. How do we know they will return to normal?

We don't know they will return to normal. There is very little long term research on just how these medications affect the body and brain.
Theres way to much circulating trust.
