my doc recently told my agomelatine will be marketed soon in the EU.
does anybody know more about this?

Ya I have read posts for the past two years saying it is going to get approved and marketed soon in EU. I guess if soon is the next five years in your perception, that may very well be true. Ukraine is the only place ago can be obtained at this point in time.

People from Servier in Sweden stated they expect it in februari in Sweden (read it in the swedish press about agomelatine being tested on people with SAD) so an approval might come very soon... I expect it to be approved in either the end of this month (november) or around new year based on that statement and that Servier resubmitted their application for it about a year ago... normal time for consideration in EMEA is about one year so... almost there.

Nobody knows the exact date. But most in the know think Ago will be realeased in the EU early 2009. It will possibly gain approval sometime in nov/dec 08. It is possible to get Agomelatine(melitor) from the Ukraine right now if you know how. I am forbidden to give any more information on this forum regarding this however, see Dr bobs rules.
