so i started with a new psychopharm doc. the last one i saw for several years, i had a dispute with the office manager. it was a large practice. i basically told the office manager to go f&@% herself. i was written a letter by the manager of the practice that i was no longer allowed to see anyone there for help and i he referred me to some other doctors.
i was horrified by this experience. of course i should not have sworn at the office manager. i did not expect to be shunned from the practice.
i found a new doctor and did not want him to speak to anyone at the old practice. so i told him i tried a few meds several years ago but had not had much treatment. now that this new doc treated me with lexapro and it didnt work, i feel like the same thing is happening that has happened in the past. tried almost every single medicine out there, no real benefit.
im contemplating telling this new doctor the truth, that ive tried tons of medicines, none work, i lied to him about my past bec. of the situation with the previous doctor, etc.
i am in therapy and my therapist offered to call this doc. i told her to stay out of it and she let it go.

I would tell him now, personally, so that you don't subject yourself to a whole trial of meds you've already tried. Just tell him you and a member of the office personnel had repeated differences of opinion and you mutually parted ways. He will respect your honesty I think.
Then put together a comprehensive list of all meds, doses, etc.that you've tried, something typed up, formal looking, and give the new doc that. Just one way to go.
Good Luck!

I agree with Jade.
Besides, in the field of psychiatry, a good doctor takes into consideration that many of the types of illnesses he treats produce behavioral changes, some of which include explosive and impulsive presentations. This is not to say that your behaviors at your old doctor's office were in any way the result of illness. Regardless of origin, though, I believe that your new doctor would make decisions regarding any past behaviors of yours based upon his ethics to practice psychiatric and behavioral medicine.
I guess the bottom line is that you have nothing to lose by telling your doctor the truth. In fact, you have a great deal to gain by establishing a truthful relationship with him.
Good luck.

Start anew. Don't dwell that your old doc was a p***k.
Move on for they are surely not caring about you. Had a Pdoc drop ALL of his patients to go to work for a major drug company, with NO notice but a last minute letter to his patients.
