Just before Christmas, my cocktail consisted of zoloft, lithium, clonazepam, remeron and zyprexa prn.
I had a brief trial with seroquel (4 days) with negative results.
Right after Christmas, I replaced zoloft for lexapro. I noticed a slight improvement as far as agitation, but my depression was still slightly remarkable.
I often wondered why my seroquel trial, short as it was, left me feeling more anxious/irritable?
So, thinking zoloft might have reacted with the seroquel and now being somewhat stable on lexapro, I'd give it another shot.
Today is day 10 with seroquel 100mg and lexapro 10mg. I have not felt this well in many years!!
My mood is grounded, I feel pleasure, optimistic, patient.....without apathy. My sex drive remains unchanged at the moment but I (and my wife) :) will work with that.
I 'm extremely overjoyed with my current state and am looking forward to many great days.
My current cocktail is now seroquel 100mg and lexapro 10mg nothing more! At work, I can focus on tasks at hand quite clearly with a long lost sense of confidence.
Just thought I'd share my positive and while short, present state of remission.

Yes, I was on a combination of seroquel and citalopram for a while and do agree they go pretty darn well together.

Now what???? Seroquel 150mg and I'm getting leg discomfort when trying to sleep. It feels like an uncontrollable urge to contract my leg muscles, almost like cramping? My legs are not jerking or twitching, just an urge to tense up??
I give up. It's always something with meds. Now I'm thinking my p/doc will put me back on zyprexa. Not a big deal, it worked pretty good other than the constant rumination of weighing myself to see how fat I'm getting!!
I'm hoping the muscle contractions in my legs will subside but if it's anything like prior side effects with other meds..... argh. :-(

Well the cramping legs were one thing, but I began to experience uncontrollable tremors, legs bouncing all over, mind was racing and I could not stop pacing? All this on a relatively low dose 150mg. I called my GP up at the E.R. and he told me to stop the seroquel and go back on Zyprexa 5mg until I see my p/doc next month.
I also took 1mg of clonazepam and the symptoms seem to have subsided somewhat... a very uncomfortable feeling to say the least.
I'm also re posting as "Ricker", bye bye to "Seroquel". I'll make a post for clarification on the Admin board.

Ricker so sorry. Well on the bright side five of zyprexa is fairly low dose isn't it? Works well. Love Phillipa thankfully the horrible twitching is gone.
