Hi, can you tell me what meds are good for shyness? I am taking Remeron right now, what else can I take with it that will help with shyness?

How long have you been taking Remeron??
In my experience, this is the best med for shyness.

Prozac, Zoloft, Wellbutrin?
As I recall, remeron is more sedating at low doses and more stimulating at higher doses, or vice versa. Maybe you need to adjust the dose.

This is the first I have heard of Remeron being good for "shyness". You learn something new everyday.

You got it right.
Sadaiya, if you have already explored your "shyness" with psychotherapists and have not made any progress, perhaps you are suffering from a social anxiety disorder. If this is true, then some of the SSRIs already mentioned might help. If not, then Nardil is the most powerful drug to fight this condition. However, because Nardil necessitates the following of a special diet, it is sometimes left for last in the order in which drugs are tried.

Hi,
You can add Lyrica.
Best regards,

I take 15 mg of remeron before sleeping at night, and beleive me when I tell you that it has absolutely no effect on my shyness. I have taken 30 mg at night for a while too and it didn't affect my shyness either. I haven't tried anything other than remeron yet, and I have been taking remeron for sleep for the last four years.

well basically the closer a drug is to EtOH or MDMA, the better. remeron in higher doses has some mild stimulant effect, try 45-60-75. i had some benefit from yohimbe. probably the stimulant type drugs for increasing desire to talk, and anxyolytic drugs for helping reduce fear of talking.
if mirtazipine helps at all, probably add clonazapam.

I didn't know there was a med for shyness thought it was just how some are. Shy. What's your definition of shyness? Love Phillipa

Some people (myself included) suffer very greatly from shyness. You are saying that shy is just who you are and is your personality, but the same could be said about depression.

Reserve, timidness and shyness have some overlap, but are not the same. The English, for example, have been described as reserved but not timid.
Any drug that affects shyness favourably without adverse side effects will be popular enough to be seen as an agent of abuse and will therefore become illegal (so it seems), the exception that proves the rule being alcohol.
While shyness can be agonising, it does have some attractions in this world of shameless self-promotion.
