I am gradually working my way off of Lyrica by reducing my dose by 25% daily and am on day 4. I was taking a total of 300 mg of Lyrica originally. This evening I was feeling quite a bit of fatigue and took a hit of marijuana which typically reduces the fatigue. However, within minutes I began experiencing immediate symptoms of diziness. My heart rate increased and I was having panic like symptoms. My breathing became very strained and rapid. I began dry heaving and wanting to vomit but unable to do so after multiple attempts. I also was experiencing involuntary muscle movements in my hands and feet. I am slowly feeling a bit better but am wondering if I should see a physician/doctor or if anyone else may have experienced these symptoms when combining Lyrica and marijuana. Please respond to this post asap -- your comments are much appreciated.

Thats scarey isn't it? No don't take the combo but wanted to offer support. Was the lyrica for pain anxiety? I heard it's relaxing. Think the marijuana was tainted? I do hope someone can answer to question or I guess I'd call a doc. Phillipa

I don't think, at least from my experience, marijuana mixes well with psych meds. I got super, super, high off just a small piece of a pot brownie from a dispensary. I was also taking prozac at the time. I forget how much, probably 40-60 mg/day. I was still high the next day. I got so high I got nauseaus and threw up all night.
