eplivanserin (Ciltyri)...

quoi de neuf?

did the "complete response letter" from the FDA effectively block the drug for multiple years asking for another study or studies, or for some other lesser amount of time asking just for "more information" or disclosure, or some other scenario? as usual i don't know anything about the legal technicalities involved.

is this another "it will be years, if it comes out at all" scenario over a european med again?

In case you haven't seen this:

Was eplivanserin ever studied in humans as an antipsychotic or anxiolytic?

Eplivanserin would be an interesting drug to test as an augmenter of antidepressants. Perhaps it is related to ritanserin. I really don't know. That eplivanserin is an inverse agonist at 5-HT2a receptors might make it more potent than ritanserin. The article I cited indicates that antipsychotics are now shown to be inverse agonists at 5-HT2a rather than antagonists.

* Inverse agonists are sort of like antagonists, but they push the neuronal state in the opposite direction of an agonist.
