I've searched the archives and couldn't find anything to answer my question, so I hope someone can. I'm on 5mg haldol for bipolar along with lithium of course. I don't have psychotic features. The doctor said it was to control mania. What's the normal dose of haldol? And is it safe long-term? I read it was usually used as a short terms solution but I've been on it for two years now.

that's alot for one medication. Haldol is potent, and defintly with Lithium. 5mg sounds ok, does it zon'k things out?

Yes it does zonk me out. I sleep rather well because of it. :)
