Does anyone know if taking methylphenidate (concerta) as needed would interact with nortriptyline (50mg) and zoloft (25mg)?

I found some moderate interactions between Concerta + nortriptyline and Zoloft after using the Drug Interactions Checker on www.drugs.com. **No major interactions.** Check with a pharmacist or doctor if you're really concerned.

I am taking amitriptyline, lexapro and ritalin as needed. This would be somewhat similar to your combiation.
The ritalin can potentiate the noradrenergic effects of amitriptyline / nortriptyline. It tends to mix better with SSRI's than TCA's IMO.
You probably won't need that much ritalin, but just be careful about heart rate, blood pressure and/or agitation.

What doses are you on, for how long, and how is it all working for you?

I'm taking between 10mg and 30mg. I've been on it for about a year or so now.
It does work, but its a strange drug that you've got to get to know.
I find there is a bit of a window for the optimal dose. If I take to much, my depression actually worsens.
Usually 5-10mg is pretty good. It can be a good medication for initiating things. It sometimes acts like a mood stabilizer for me - especially when I am avoiding doing things I know I need to be doing.

No, I don't know anything for sure (and I have never taken those two other meds you mentioned) but I've taken a lot of Ritalin and Concerta concurrent with many other meds. It hasn't ever done anything very exciting i.e. "bad" interaction-wise with other meds. One cannot prove a negative but I can say it has been pretty benign to date for me.
This is the end of the thread.
