Hello!
Lately it feels like I'm getting dumber by the day. I struggle to concentrate on anything. Sometimes I'll stare at a piece of my own writing and it's like I don't understand what I wrote earlier. I feel like falling asleep all the time. People sometimes tell me I show no response when they talk to me. It's like I know they're talking to me but it feels dreamlike.
I am not on any medication currently. My EEG came back clear. Years ago I took SSRIs.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

NKP,
You wrote,[...getting dumber..struggle to concentrate...(not responsive) when people talk to me...took SSRI's...any thoughts...].
There is a large body of research unfolding to indicate that there could be permanent brain damage from taking psychotropic drugs such as the SSRIs.
You could do a search and find these. Here is a link to a post from this forum that may be of interest.

Sleep disorders can cause those symptoms - apnea, narcolepsy.
Also, EEGs can be normal for people who have certain seizure disorders, and there are many classifications of epilsepsy. Did you ever do a sleep study? They are expensive, but insurance normally covers them. If you don't have insurance, sometimes you can sign up to be part of a sleep study.
