That was the year I heard after the 2009 date didn't happen. I was hoping it had changed but guess not.

I plan to try the generic as of how I'm thinking right now. With two more years, that could change. Or I may not even be on it then.... Who knows? Generics haven't treated me badly in those I use now. The hoops to jump and paperwork headaches EVERY CUSSED YEAR are bad enough now, once a generic is available and should I want brand, well good golly it would be a REAL nightmare. And it is really pricey w/out ANY cost covered.

I shall see....

If it keeps you well it's worth the price. I just have to hope I don't get sick cause no more meds for me ever. That I can control. Right now mine is free and the lex have sample boxes and stocking up you should see my basket of meds. And if the military can use older meds I can too as long as not antibiotics those got to buy new. What if it poops out or you just don't need it anymore as after menopause whole system changes. That I've experienced first hand. Phillipa

~~~ I switched out once on AD's and returned to Lex w/out a loss of it's original workings.
My Dr. and I developed a "rough" contingency plan a few years back if efficacy should cease for whatever reason. I have been gratefully managed, stable and w/out relapse for quite some time - measured especially in MH terms. I am cautiously optimistic I continue that trend. As far as what a switch to the generic Escitalopram would mean, I can't predict. I am, at this point in my thoughts, willing should that choice present itself.
~~~ You are fortunate... also your compounded meds? If so, that's great!
