I was looking for an augment with my SSRI for help with fatigue and ADD symptoms. I have a rx for dexedrine, but it can sometimes overstimulate me. Is Vyvanse smoother with less side effects, or perhaps another option (I've heard of Straterra, but not interested due to the risk of liver problems).

I know a babbler from past who really like vyvanase as long acting. So yes I feel he's a pretty good judge of a med. Is it an option for you? Phillipa

Vyvanse is much smoother than Adderall XR. It's a less intense boost of energy and lasts longer. The problem is that like with any stimulant, people react much differently. My problem was always that I was resistant to the effects of Vyvanse and I had to keep taking higher doses. Other people though can take a small dose in the morning and get the energy they need for a good portion of the day. It all depends on the person
