No I haven't but someone just wrote me that it's supposed to be good. Currently take low dose regular. Have you taken the regular version? Phillipa

I tried the generic a few years back, it didn't do much. Apparently, according to my doc, since they introduced the CR and it's available name brand only, he said he now prescribes again and patients have said it's much better.
If you go to www.luvoxcr.com and click on the tab that says save up to $50.00, there is a card that can be used for $10.00-$50.00 discount on it, in addition to your insurance, counts as secondary.

Probably because it costs more - the placebo effect is stronger.
Seriously though, fluvoxamine is a relatively short-acting medication. It's not necessary to take a CR version however, you can simply take the standard version in divided doses.

There is a difference with a lot of generics, some which just aren't the same as name brand. I had a friend taking Toprol and accidentally got generic, blood pressure shot through the roof, so though is obviously differences between generic and name brand.

Interesting as the two times I took brand name when Solvay still had short acting luvox available here it worked. I'd forgotten about that. I'd saved the old bottle of original brand for quite a few years so might have to investigate brand CR Phillipa

Have you tried normal fluvoxamine (Luvox)?

When used to treat essential hypertension, the dose-response curve for beta-blockers is relatively flat. Branded prescribing of beta blockers (for hypertension) is not clinically necessary.
