Some more nardil question

Posted by lifelover on March 23, 2011, at 19:59:07

Hey guys first of all Ive had great experiences with nardil, depression and sa in complete remission while on it. I had to go off it for a while due to a complicated incident and I am going back on it in a couple of months. I have a couple a of questions.

1. The weight gain was an issue for me, what do u guys do to lose weight on it or mantain the same weight?

2. Ive heard so much about the old nardil being superior to the new nardil. the new nardil has worked so well for me, if the old nardil was that good then it must of truely been a wonder drug. for those who made the switch back in 03 and have experience with both nardil I would like to know your opinions on this. And if it was better did it feel like the nardil euphoria all the time? Just curious about this.

3. The gavis nardil is out now and is said to be very close to the original nardils formula. For those who are on it have u noticed any negative or positive changes with it, or is it basically the same as pfizer's?

4. How many of you have found nardil effective for treating social anxiety? I have found it to work very well and would like to know ur stories. Also was the change a gradual change or was like one day everything just made sense.

These are my questions any feedback would be ausome. Keep your faith guys..peace..

Hi lifelover, I'll be curious to follow your post, I'm on my second week of Nardil and ever so hopeful of results, I wasn't born with depression/severe anxiety, it hit me in Junior high and so I remember my pre depression days, also for a period of 2 years paxil "cured" me of depression and anxiety although it wore off and have tried every other SSRI, NSRI, TCA, and combination available. So I'm glad to find a dr, (actually a nurse practicioner) to prescribe Nardil and hope to get me life back. although other meds havn't helped much some were at least able to get me stable, I discontinued them prior to taking Nardil, and I read Nardil may take a couple weeks to kick in so things are pretty rough right now but I am hopeful. Best of luck to you!
