stopped celexa cold turkey 3 days ago 20 mg on it 7 weeks ..will stop it for 2 weeks then resume that or different ssri---stopping to see if it is the celexa which is causing terrible sweating...dr. says i will be ok for 2 weeks because we will restart another as soon as 2 weeks are over...gave me 2 mg of klonopin to take for agitation if needed ...any thoughts on this

The benzo should cover any discontinuation symptoms. If they get bad, you cn always start taking it again

Might not work again if working now? Phillipa botox can stop sweating in certain areas

but if it is causing the sweating it is unacceptable---may go back to cymbalta....no sweating at all ...lots of energy ....slight racing heart though

celexa is notorious for excessive sweating.....it has to be that....no need to wait to go back to cymbalta....in my opinion.

not at all...take as needed..dont have to take 2mg...relatively low dosage..if its your first benzo, should serve you very well.

I would have cross tapered if you intend to move to another SSRI. Celexa made me pretty sick and I didnt cold turkey from 20mg, I stopped at like 5mg.
Weird that you sweat on celexa, it was the only one Ive tried that didnt make me sweat. Zoloft being the worst offender but the most effective on my agitated depression.
