been on ativan 10 years worked reasonably well---decided i wanted to try klonopin ---works ok ---so we switched 2 or 3 times within a year.......want back on ativan.....dr says no because i can't make up my mind-ocd......if i really prefer ativan is it time to switch dr's???i do believe he is a good just tough on switching medications

Unless he's hard to deal with or something, I'd just pick a benzo, stick with it, and stick with this doctor.

I'd also stick with the doc but I wonder if switching benzos will allow them to work for more years long term? Phillipa

That's a good point Phillipa.
I would also weigh that against driving the doctor to distraction with too many changes.
Maybe changes, but less often.

dr wont give me scripts for both not because i abuse but because but because i can't make up my damn mind--ocd---he has kept me on 1.5 klonopin for sleep and added 15 mg of restoral to it for sleep..its working
